Babbel is an app (and desktop site) for online language learning.
When you can speak another language, your world becomes bigger, richer, and more inspiring. Our motivation is to provide a user-friendly solution that allows learners to acquire a foreign language in a fun but targeted way, regardless of time or place. Anyone can learn languages; this vision has driven the Babbel team since 2007. The market-leading app for online learning makes it easy to access languages from English to Indonesian either from home, or on the go with a smartphone or tablet.
Our business model is subscription based (1-month, 3-month, 6-month and 1-year subscriptions, but the user can sign up for a free account as the first lesson of each course is for fee). We make language learning easy and available to everyone. We offer professionally designed courses for 14 languages in seven different display languages – because the way a native English speaker learns French is different from the way an Italian speaker learns French.

Please be aware that all subscriptions are automatically renewed until we, Apple, or Google receive notice of cancellation, so it's important to cancel before the date when the next payment is due.
